The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

If you contact NHS 111, you will be assessed, given advice and, if needed, directed to the most appropriate local health services. 

Contact 111 if you:

  • need an NHS urgent care service or urgent mental health help
  • don’t know who to call for medical help
  • need information about a health issue.

For urgent mental health support, select the mental health option when calling 111.
